Mini-cast: Man of Steel

So we're going to try something new here at Cult Spark. Rather than waiting to talk about recently released movies until we get a quorum together to record the Cult Spark Podcast proper (which can take up to a month sometimes), we've decided to start a series of "mini-casts" where Bob and one of our other podcasters spend 20 or 30 minutes chewing over a flick that just opened in theaters. This will have the dual effect of getting content to you, the listener, while the movie in question is still fresh, while at the same time allowing us to focus on more diverse topics in the regular 'cast.

For some of these mini-casts, Bob will be joined by one of the guys you already know from the podcast proper. But for our inaugural mini-cast, we're welcoming a new podcaster to the Cult Spark family — Chad Ferguson. Chad is a movie buff, a Pittsburgh guy (like Bob) and owner of Gliese581g Apparel, a T-shirt company that produces bitchin' retro comic tees.

For our kickoff mini-cast, Chad and Bob talk about Man of Steel, the new Zack Snyder-directed, Christopher Nolan-produced Superman film that Warner Bros. hopes will ignite a new shared universe for DC's big-screen superhero adventures. Does it succeed? You'll have to push play to find out!

Our podcasters this episode are Bob Taylor (Cult SparkCinematallicaCHUD) and Chad Ferguson (Gliese581g Apparel). To make sure you catch every episode, you can subscribe to The Cult Spark Podcast via iTunes or pick up our podcast feed at CultSpark.com.
