Episode 17: Hate-playing Destiny (Our 2014 Videogame Year in Review)

Cult Spark Podcast Featured Logo

Sick of playing broken videogames? So is our podcast crew, who try to look past the wreckage of this holiday's glitchy, half-working games to find the true gems of 2014. Stew offers up his ten favorite games of the year, as does special guest Justin Clark, a journalist and critic at places like Gamespot and Joystiq. But it's not just lists you get in this episode; you'll also be treated to Bob complaining about Destiny, Justin comparing Telltale's The Walking Dead: Season Two to a Coen brothers movie, and Stew yammering endlessly about the greatness that is Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker. (Spoiler alert: Stew loves him some Nintendo games.) Other games discussed include Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor, South Park: The Stick of Truth and Hearthstone. Additionally, Justin ends up quoting Snatch somehow. It's wonderful.

Our podcasters this episode are Bob Taylor (Cult Spark) and Stewart Smith (Cult Spark, Critical Mass), who are joined by special guest Justin Clark (Gamespot, Joystiq).
